Lynn Newman, Ph.D.
Dr. Newman, Consulting Psychologist, has worked as an organization psychologist for ten years, specializing in areas of leadership, executive assessment and development, team effectiveness and organizational change. She served for several years on the faculty at the University of Southern California School of Business where she taught Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management. She has also presented in the Human Resources Management Executive Program at the University of Michigan. She currently serves as an officer on the board of the Stone Group of Wellesley College, a center for the study of women's psychology and leadership effectiveness.
Dr. Newman's research focuses on issues of leadership, particularly regarding the professional who assumes a leadership role in a research organization. As Director of Organization Development for Allergan Pharmaceuticals, she led a strategically driven organization change effort aimed at aligning research professionals across divisions and changing the organization's culture and leadership style. She has also consulted to companies on succession planning and professionalizing the family business.
Dr. Newman holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Management and Organization) from the University of Southern California, a M.S. in Psychology from the University of Michigan, and a B.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan.
